Proven track record in building and scaling energy platforms across Europe and emerging markets, with deep expertise in power generation, automation, and large-scale infrastructure execution.
He has led the development and execution of complex energy projects across multiple jurisdictions, delivering long-term operational assets. His experience spans the full lifecycle from origination to commissioning and asset management. Recognised for his ability to integrate technical systems with investment strategies, ensuring bankable project delivery. Brings a strong track record in scaling platforms and driving operational excellence in capital-intensive sectors.

Ukundi Baldwin Mushi

Renewable energy strategist and investment leader with extensive experience in project development, capital mobilization, and PPP structuring across Africa. She has led the development of utility-scale and distributed energy solutions spanning solar, hydro, storage, and off-grid systems. She has successfully facilitated cross-border investments, particularly within the mining and energy sectors, and has a strong track record in structuring bankable projects and aligning financing frameworks for infrastructure development.
She has played a key role in positioning large-scale energy projects within continental frameworks such as AfSEM and PIDA, ensuring alignment with regional energy integration and transition priorities. Her expertise lies in bringing together public and private sector stakeholders including governments, DFIs, and investors to unlock scalable opportunities. As General Partner of the Africa Green Transition PPP Fund (AGTPF), she leads the strategic vision of the platform, focusing on scalable capital deployment and the delivery of integrated, commercially viable energy solutions across Africa.

Birgit Hochenegger-Stoirer

Seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in corporate finance, asset management, and institutional governance across Europe. Following her early career at the European Commission, she served as Chief Financial Officer of both the Pankl Group and HTI Group, where she led financial strategy, restructuring, and operational optimisation within capital-intensive industrial sectors.
In 2009, she joined the enso Group as CFO, where she played a pivotal role in establishing a hydropower investment fund and advancing the group's strategic development, combining financial structuring with long-term asset management in the energy sector. In 2020, she transitioned into academia as Vice-Rector for Finance, Digitalization, and Law at the Medical University of Graz, and subsequently held the same portfolio at the Medical University of Innsbruck. In these roles, she led institutional financial governance and spearheaded innovation initiatives, including the establishment of platforms such as Innovation Hub and MedLifeLab GmbH, supporting medical technology commercialization. She continues to hold executive and supervisory board positions within private foundations and corporate entities and is a shareholder in the enso Group. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Graz, a bachelor's degree from the University of Paisley (Scotland), and an LLM in Law from the University of Graz, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to finance, governance, and innovation-led investment.

Independent board director and corporate governance specialist based in Luxembourg with over 25 years of experience across investment funds, private equity, and sustainable finance. She serves as a Non-Executive Director on a range of regulated investment vehicles and climate-focused platforms, providing strategic oversight, fiduciary governance, and regulatory compliance in line with international best practices. Her experience spans working with institutional investors, asset managers, and fund structures, with a strong focus on ensuring transparency, risk management, and alignment with investor expectations within complex, cross-border investment environments.
She holds an MBA from INSEAD and has completed executive governance training at INSEAD, alongside a certification in Sustainable Finance from University of Cambridge. Recognised for her strong governance leadership and expertise in fund oversight, she plays a key role in supporting investment platforms to meet regulatory standards while integrating sustainability principles. Her contribution is particularly valuable in climate and infrastructure funds, where robust governance frameworks are critical to attracting institutional capital and delivering long-term, sustainable investment outcomes.

Dr. Gilbert Frizberg

Represents over 120 years of family heritage in the energy sector, with deep roots in hydropower and large-scale infrastructure development. He brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, asset development, and long-term energy investment, having played a significant role in shaping Austria's energy landscape. He served on the Supervisory Board of Verbund AG, Austria's leading electricity company, for more than 15 years, including a decade as Chairman, where he oversaw governance, strategic direction, and major capital investment decisions within one of Europe's key renewable energy utilities.
In addition to his corporate leadership, he is a former member of the Austrian National Council, providing him with a strong understanding of public policy, regulatory frameworks, and the intersection between government and the energy sector. His combined experience across industry and policymaking positions him as a key figure in advancing large-scale, bankable energy projects. He is recognised for his ability to align institutional investors, public stakeholders, and technical partners to deliver sustainable, long-term infrastructure solutions.

His earlier roles at the World Energy Council and OMV AG further strengthened his expertise in international energy policy, market dynamics, and large-scale infrastructure development.
As Founder of Strategy Lab GmbH, he advises governments, corporations, and investors on strategic foresight, energy transitions, and sustainable development pathways. He is widely recognised for his ability to integrate macroeconomic trends, policy frameworks, and technological innovation into actionable strategies that support investment decision-making. Dr. Jauad El Kharraz

Seasoned water–energy–climate expert with over 25 years of international experience spanning policy, research, and project implementation across the Middle East and Africa. As Founder and CEO of WECEN, he leads initiatives focused on the water–energy–food nexus, climate resilience, and sustainable infrastructure development. He previously served as Executive Director of RCREEE (2021–2024), where he advanced regional renewable energy and energy efficiency programmes, strengthened institutional partnerships, and supported member states in developing investment-ready projects aligned with climate and development goals.
Prior to this, he was Director of Research at MEDRC in Oman (2015–2020), where he led applied research programmes in water security, desalination, and climate adaptation, bridging innovation with practical deployment. Recognised for his ability to translate technical expertise into policy and investment frameworks, he has worked extensively with governments, development finance institutions, and international organisations. His expertise lies in structuring integrated, climate-resilient solutions that are both technically robust and financially viable, supporting scalable investment across water, energy, and climate sectors.

Lada Strelnikova

20+ years of experience in strategic business development in financial institutions and investment management in climate change investment themes. Since 2011 sourcing, structuring, negotiating, executing and managing sustainable/impact energy related investments, while focusing on real assets. Started with launching the USD300m investment vehicle to support energy transformation in emerging markets via directing financing to financial institutions (www.gcpf.lu). In the last 12 years she was responsible for European Energy Efficiency Fund (www.eeef.eu) investing in energy efficiency, sustainable mobility and renewable energy projects in cities, regions and communities in EU27.
Led 18 investments over €200m with industrial partners and public entities in 9 countries, being the first fund investing in 5 key technologies across Europe and financing lighthouse projects like Smart City Santander in Spain and University Hospital Orsola Malpighi in Bologna, Italy. Currently working in partnership with an advisory group to support project developers in structuring and finding financing solutions for renewable energy projects. Lada is a graduate from the Moscow Finance Academy and the Australian National University, and is fluent in four languages.

Previously holding senior roles at leading institutions such as Dresdner Kleinwort and the Abu Dhabi Investment Council, he has managed transactions exceeding €5 billion, demonstrating deep experience in institutional finance, investor structuring, and global capital mobilisation.
He is widely recognised for developing innovative financing solutions tailored to emerging markets, with particular strength in blended finance, capital stacking, and risk-mitigated investment structures. His expertise plays a critical role in ensuring projects are financially robust, bankable, and aligned with investor requirements. His work underpins investment committee decisions by providing clear, data-driven insights on project viability, capital structure optimisation, and long-term value creation.
He plays a critical role in aligning project-level analysis with broader portfolio strategy, supporting the structuring of scalable investment platforms across Africa. With a strong focus on emerging markets, he contributes to the identification of high-impact opportunities, integrating technical, financial, and regulatory considerations into a cohesive investment framework.

He has been actively involved in the development and deployment of solar, hydro, and hybrid energy solutions, supporting the transition toward low-carbon infrastructure in emerging economies. His work spans technical design, project development, and implementation, ensuring that energy solutions are both context-appropriate and aligned with international engineering and environmental standards.
He is recognised for his ability to bridge technical expertise with commercial and investment considerations, enabling the delivery of bankable and scalable projects. With a strong understanding of local market dynamics and regulatory environments, he contributes to the successful execution of projects across multiple jurisdictions.
